The Tamil Nadu Gudalur Janmam Estates (Abolition and Conversion Into Ryotwari) Act, 1969State Act of Tamil Nadu · Act 24 of 1969

(1) Where the powers of the janmi to alienate any property in janmam estate as restricted the provisions of this Act relating to the payment and apportionment of compensation in respect of the janman estate held by impartible tarwad shall, so far as may be, and subject to such rules as may be made by the Government in this behalf, apply to the payment and apportionment of the compensation payable in respect of the janman estate.

Devolution of interest in compensation

39. Where it is alleged that the interest of any person entitled to receive payment of any portion of the compensation had devolved on any other person or persons, whether by act of parties or by operation of law, the Tribunal shall determine, whether there has been any devolution of the interest, and if so, on whom it has devolved.
