Section 13: Drinking water

Tamil Nadu Handloom Workers (Conditions of Employment and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1981State Act of Tamil Nadu · Act 61 of 1981

(1) The employer shall make, in every industrial premises, effective arrangements to provide and maintain, at suitable points conveniently situated for all employees therein, a sufficient supply of wholesome drinking water.

(2) All such points shall be legibly marked "Drinking Water" in Tamil and no such point shall be situated within 6 metres of any washing place, urinal or latrine except with the prior approval in writing of the competent authority.
