Section 6: Inspectors

Tamil Nadu Handloom Workers (Conditions of Employment and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1981State Act of Tamil Nadu · Act 61 of 1981

(1) The Government may, by notification, appoint such persons possessing the prescribed qualifications to be Inspectors for the purposes of this Act. The Government or such authority as may be prescribed may assign to the Inspectors the local limits within which they shall exercise their functions under this Act.

(2) The Government may, by notification, appoint any person possessing the prescribed qualifications to be a Chief Inspector who shall exercise the powers of an Inspector throughout the State.
