Section 11: Seniority

The Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious Institutions Employees(Conditions of Service) Rules, 2020State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1959

The seniority of a person shall, unless he has been reduced to a lower rank as a punishment, be determined by the date on which he is appointed to the category. Whenever more than one vacancy is fi lled up, the appointing authority shall fi x the order of placement based on the rank obtained by them in the list of approved candidates drawn up by the appointing authority. If other things being equal their seniority shall be decided with reference to their age, the elder shall be placed at the top.
