The licensee may, on giving six months notice in writing to the Collector of his intention so to do, apply for the withdrawal of the licence granted in respect of that hostel, lodging house or home for women and children, and on the expiration of the said period, the licence shall, unless before that time the notice is withdrawn, cease to have effect and the hostel, lodging house or home for women and children shall cease to function.
