*** ORDER The following Notification will be published in the Extraordinary issue of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated 24th June,1998 and the Works Manager, Government Press is requested to furnish the Gazette in which the Notification will be published to the Government in Industries Department. He is also requested to supply 400 copies of the notification to Industries Department soon after publication.
2. The following Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette:- NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 24 of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Township Area Development Authority Act, 1997 ( Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1997) the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following rules:- RULES
1. Short title and commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the Tamil Nadu Industrial Township Area Development Authority Rules,
1998.
(2). They shall come into force on the 25th July, 1998
2. Definition:- In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires.
a) “Act” means the Tamil Nadu Industrial Township Area Development Authority Act, 1997.
b) “regulation” means the regulations framed by the Authority under section 25 of the Act.
c) The words and expressions used in these rules but not defined herein will have the same meaning assigned to them in the Act.
3. Terms of non-Official members:- The term of office of the non-official members of the Industrial Township Area Authority shall be three years from the date of assuming charge:
Provided that in the case of a casual vacancy, the non-official member who has been appointed in that vacancy shall hold office for the remaining period of three years:
Provided further that a non-official member shall be eligible for appointment for another term.
4. Preparation of budget by Authority:- The Industrial Township Area Auhority shall cause preparation of budget for the next ensuing financial year showing the estimated income and expenditure and programme of work and submit the same to the promoting agency on or before the 31st January each year, for approval.
