The Tamil Nadu Legislators’ (Railway Fare to Former Members) Rules, 2018State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1951
Every former Member shall be eligible for railway fare for his journey in an accommodation not higher than that of two-tier air-conditioned class, excluding tatkal charges, for attending the celebration from his usual place of residence to Chennai and back therefrom.
Provided that if the place of residence of the former Member happens to be outside the State, the actual railway fare shall be calculated from the railway station within Tamil Nadu which is nearest to his place of residence:
Provided further that railway fare under this section shall not be paid to any former Member, who is in receipt of free railway pass issued by the Central Government or by any other authority for having been a Member of Parliament.
