Section 6: Application for licence in case of existing escalator

Every owner of a place in which an escalator has been erected and is being worked immediately before the coming into force of the Act and is in operation, shall apply in Form “H” along with a fee of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only) remitted into a Government Treasury or electronic mode of payment, test reports obtained from the authorised competent person, Structural Stability Certificate obtained from the registered Structural Engineer for the building where escalator is installed and a copy of Insurance policy for the persons using such an escalator and obtain a licence in Form “F”.
