Section 9: Precautions to be adopted by the owner of the lift or escalator

The Tamil Nadu Lifts and Escalators Rules,1997State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1997

No electrical installation work, except such as replacement of lamps, fans, fuses, switches and fittings as in no way alters its capacity or character shall be carried out on behalf of the owner of lift or escalator except by an licensed electrical contractor.
