(2) It shall be the duty of the vice-Chancellor to 'ensure that the provisions of this Act, the statutes, ordinznces ahd regulations are obszrved and camiei. out and he may exercise all powers nehes6;ar-y for this purpose.
(3) The Vice-Chancellor shall have power to convene meetings of thc Senate, the Go ~erning Ccuncil, the Standing Academic Board and the Finance (Zommittee.
(4) The Vice-Chaacellor shall have power to take action on any matter coilcerning the affairs cf the University ~ n d may take such action as he may deem necessary but shall, as soon as may be, thereafter report the action taken to the officer or authority or body whd or which would have ordinarily dealt wit11 the matter :
(5) When action taken by the Vice-Chancellor underasub-section
(4) affects any person in the service of the University, such person shall be entitled to prefer an appeal to the Governing Council withh thirty days from the date on which he has notice of such action.
The Vice-CI7ancellctr shall give effect to the order passed by the Gaverfling Co~lncil on such appeal. \
(6) The Vice-Chancellor shall have ' power s to give effect to the decisions ~f the Gcverning Council.
(7) The vice-Chancellor shall have power to exercise control over the affairs of the IJniversity and shzll 1;e responsible for the due m airltenance of disciplline in the Universi t?.
(8) The Vice-chancellor shall be responsible for the c&ordinai tion and integration or teaching and reserrsh, extension. edltcatjon and cutr.iculunl devt lopmed.
(9) The Vice-Chancellor shall cxercise such other powers and perform such other functions as may bc prescribed by the statutes:
