The notice of hours of work shall be in Form V.
(2) It shall be, -
(a) written in English, Tamil and if necessary in a language understood by a majority of motor transport workers;
(b) displayed not later than the day immediately preceding the day on which the hours of work specified in the notice may take effect, at a conspicuous place where the motor transport workers ordinarily call on duty; and
(c) maintained in a clear and legible condition.
A copy of the notice shall be sent simultaneously to the Inspector having jurisdiction over the undertaking :
Provided that, if any change in the notice displayed becomes necessary a notice of such change shall be exhibited before such change is given effect to and a copy of the said notice together with the statement of reasons for the change shall be sent simultaneously to the Inspector:
Provided further that if the Chief Inspector is of opinion that the duty schedule or any other record maintained as a part of the routine of the undertaking gives the particulars required under this rule, he may, by order in writing, direct that the maintenance of such record shall be sufficient compliance with the provisions of this rule.
