The Tamil Nadu Narcotic Drugs Rules, 1985State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1985

No person or any institution shall manufacture, possess, sell, purchase, transport, warehouse, use, consume, import or export except for medical or scientific purposes and in the manner and to the extent provided by the provisions of these rules any narcotic drug:

Provided that the Government Opium and Alkaloid works, Ghazipur / Neemuch may engage in the aforesaid operations in accordance with the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules, 1985.
