Every director of the Board including the Managing Director and every other officer and employee of the Board appointed under section 16 shall, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any of the provisions of this Act or any rule or the Scheme made thereunder be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (Central Act XLV of 1860).
