Section 17

The Tamil Nadu Oil Palm (Regulation of Production and Processing) Act, 1994State Act of Tamil Nadu · Act 34 of 1994

(1) Every person or occupier of a factory who contravenes the provisions of section 11 shall be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees ten thousand and in the case of a continuing contravention of the provisions of the said section with a further fine not exceeding rupees one thousand for each day during which the contravention continues.

(2) Any person or occupier of a factory contravening any of the provisions of this Act or of any rule or order made thereunder for which no penalty in provided in subsection (1) shall be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees five thousand.
