Section 33: Qualification of Candidates

The Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act,1994State Act of Tamil Nadu · Act 21 of 1994

No person shall be qualified for election as a Member or President 1[***] of a Panchayat unless-

(i) his name appears on the electoral roll of the concerned Panchayat; and

(ii) he has completed his twenty-first year of age.

1. The words “or Chairman” was omitted by Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1996.
