Section 3: Determination of population

The Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Determination of Population) Rules, 1999.State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1994

If any question arises as to the population of any Panchayat Village or of any part of such village, for the purpose of the Act, the question shall be decided with reference to the population of such village, as ascertained at the last proceeding census.
