Section 2: Definition

The Tamil Nadu Panchayats(Regulation of the use of communal lands by panchayat in Estates) Rules, 1999State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1994

In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(1) “Act” means the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994).

(2) “Estate Villages” means the villages notified as Estate Villages under the Tamil Nadu Estate Land Act, 1908 (Tamil Nadu Act I of 1908) and as specified in the Appendix appended to this Rules.
