Section 2: Definitions

Preparation, Publication and Sanction of Detailed Development Plan (Chennai Metropolitan Planning Area) RulesState Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1971

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,--

(i) "Act" means the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 35 of 1972) ;

(ii) "Authority" means the 1[Chennai] Metropolitan Development Authority ;

(iii) "Local Area" means the 1[Chennai] Metropolitan Planning Area declared under the Act or any part thereof;

(iv) "Member-Secretary" means the Member-Secretary of the 1[Chennai] Metropolitan Development Authority ;

(v) "Section" means a section of the Act.
