(1) Any educational agency belonging to religious or linguistic minority shall have the right to establish and administer a private school of its choice primarily for the benefit of such minorities. (2) Every such educational agency claiming minority status for a private school shall apply to the Government in such form along with such documents as may be prescribed. (3) On receipt of the application under sub-section (2), the Government after verifying the documents submitted by the applicant and after affording the applicant an opportunity of being heard, if need be, shall decide whether or not to grant or continue minority status to the private school within such time as may be prescribed.
