Section 5: Ceiling on personal cultivation by public trusts

The Tamil Nadu Public Trusts (Regulation of Administration of Agricultural Lands) Act, 1961.State Act of Tamil Nadu · Act 57 of 1961

(1) Except as otherwise provided in this Act, no public trust shall personally cultivate land in excess of twenty standard acres.

(2) Nothing in this section shall be deemed to authorize any public trust to evict any person holding land as cultivating tenant under such public trust on the date of the commencement of this Act, except in accordance with the provisions of sections 7, 15 (2) and
