TIIE TAMIL NADU RELIEF UNDERTAKINGS (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) ACT, 1969.

An Act to e/zable the Government to make special provisions for a limited period in respect of hdustrial relatlorts, fina~cial obligations nnd other like matters in relation to industrial undertakings the running of which B considered essential as a measure of preventing, or of providing relief against, wnemploymen t.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Tamil Nadu inthe Twentieth Year of the Republic of Inha as, follows :-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Relief Undertakings (Special Provisions) Act, 1969.
(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nahu.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint.
2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-
(1) " Gov~rnrnent " means the State Government ;
(2) " Government compa in which not less than fifty-one share capital is held by the G company which is a subsidiary company.
