Subject to the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (Central Act V of 1908), applicable to appeals from original decrees, and notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any enactment for the time being in force, a second appeal shall only lie to the High Court from any decision of the Court under this Act if the amount of compensation as determined by the prescribed authority exceeds rupees twenty-five thousand.
