(1) The Government may, on a request from a Developer for acquisition of land for establishment of a Special Economic Zone, acquire the required land under the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 1999) and transfer the land to the Developer on payment of the cost of the acquisition including the cost of the Land Acquisition Staff, if any, appointed by the Government. (2) The Government may also transfer any land owned by them to the Developer subject to such terms and conditions as may be fixed by them.
