5. This permit is liable to be revoked if the restricted preparations mentioned in the permit are reported to be misused as alcoholic beverages in this State or if the alcoholic content of the preparation is unduly increased.
6. Every time the goods are imported under this General Import permit, the permit holder shall arrange for the inspection of the medicinal preparations by the Tahsildar or the Excise Officer authorized before they are released for sale.

CONDITIONS
1. The privilege under this licence extents to the possession and sale of spirituous preparations to other holders of licences in Form S.P. XIV for the purpose of retail sale, to medical practitioners for supply to their patients and to hospitals, dispensaries, maternity home and to medical, educational and research institutions.
2. The quantity sold in whole-sale at any one time shall not exceed the quantity which the person or institution is authorized to possess at any one time under this licence.
3. The possession or sale of any preparation other than that to which the licence relates is prohibited.
4. Every receptacle containing Spirituous Preparations Manufactured, imported, stocked, kept for sale or sold shall be conspicuously labelled with a printed label showing clearly the manufacturer’s name and address, the name of the preparation and the name of the pharmacopodia according to which the preparation is manufactured or the number and date of the order of approval of the Government of Tamil Nadu in respect of patent and proprietary preparations or the number and date of the notification issued by the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise in respect of preparations approved as bona fide medicinal preparations by the Expert Committee appointed under rule 5 of these rules. The label shall also show the alcoholic contents in proof strength and the average percentage of alcohol it contains.
5. The sale or possession by the licensee of any spirituous preparation outside the limits of his licensed premises is prohibited.
6. The licensee shall maintain in ink from day to day true accounts of transactions of all restricted preparation in Form S.P. XII or in such registers as may be specified from time to time by the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise. The licensee shall preserve copies of import, export and transport permits, indents received from the purchasers and the bills or invoices issued at the time of sale in support of the accounts and shall produce for check or inspection and shall furnish such information and statistics as may be called for by any officer not below the rank of a Taluk Excise Officer, Deputy Tahsildar, Drug Inspector or Inspector of Police.
7. The licensee shall not mortgage, lease out, shall or otherwise alienate, his licence except on grounds of inheritance subject to the condition that the transferee is otherwise eligible for the issue of a licence under these rules without the written consent of the Collector.
8. The licensee shall, on requisition by the Collector or any other officer duly authorized by him in his behalf, deliver up his licence for amendment or renewal.
9. The Collector may for reasons to be recorded in writing after giving the licensee an opportunity to state his objections within a reasonable time, not ordinarily exceeding fourteen days cancel the licencee or suspend it for such period as he thinks fit either wholly or in part. If in his opinion, the licensee has failed to comply with all or any of the conditions of the licence or with any of the provisions of the Act or the Rules.
10. Whether the licence is suspended or cancelled during the currency or is not renewed after its expiry, the licence holder is prohibited from selling or using any of the stock held by him under the licence at the time of such suspension, cancellation or expiry. The stocks shall be disposed of only under the orders of the Collector.
11. Any officer not below the rank of a Taluk Excise Officer, Deputy Tahsildar, Drug Inspector or Inspector of Police shall have authority to enter and inspect licenced shop, any time / by day or by night, to examine the premises, to test measures in use and the articles under sale and to call for and check the accounts and to take samples of any preparation.
12. The licensee shall maintain an inspection note book in Form S.P. XIII exclusively for the use of inspecting Officers for the purpose.
13. Infraction of any of the rules or the conditions of the licensee either by the licensee or by any person in his employment shall entail on the licensee forfeiture of his security deposit or cancellation or suspension of the licence or both. It shall be competent for the Collector to impose any or all the above penalties.
14. The forfeiture of security deposit or the cancellation or suspension of the licence shall not, however, relieve the licensee or his agent from liability to be prosecuted for any specific offence committed against the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 or the rules made thereunder.
15. The licensee shall be bound by the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act. 1937 ( Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937 ) and the Tamil Nadu spirituous preparations (Control) Rules, 1984.

The licensee shall preserve copies of import, export and transport permits, indents received from the purchasers and the bills or invoices issued at the time of sale for a period of one year from the date of lapse of the currency of the Licence in support of the accounts, shall produce for check or inspection and shall furnish such information and statistics as may be called for by any officer not below the rank of a Taluk Excise Officer, Deputy Tahsildar, Drug Inspector or Inspector of Police.
