Section 4: Application

The Tamil Nadu Spirituous Preparations (Control) Rules, 1984State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1937

These Rules shall apply to all medicinal, toilet or other spirituous preparations as defined in these rules;

Provided that nothing containing in these rules shall, –

(a) affect the operation of the Medicinal and Toilet Preparations (Excise Duties) Act ,1955, (Central Act 16 of 1955) and the Medicinal and Toilet Preparations (Excise Duties) Rules, 1956 made there under; and

(b) apply to medicinal and toilet preparations which are the property of the State Government or the Government of India.
