In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) “Act” means the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994);

(b) “Commission” means the State Election Commission referred to in Section 239 of the Act;

(c) “Commissioner” means the State Election Commissioner referred to in Section 239 of the Act;
