Section 3: Levy of fee

The Tamilnadu village Panchayats (Cleaning of Private Soak Pit and Cess Pools), Rules, 1999State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1994

(1) The Village Panchayat may levy a fee from the owner or occupier of the said premises or place at the rate calculated to cover the cost of the service.

(2) In calculating the rate of the fees to be levied under sub-rule (1), the Village Panchayat shall take into account the area and or depth of the soak pit and cess pools and the quantum of waste material or dirty material to be cleaned.
