[G.O. (D) No. 63, Environment and Forest (FR V), 26th June 2009.] No. II (2)/EF/455/2009.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 26-A of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (Central Act 53 of 1972), the Governor of Tamil Nadu having considered the area, the boundaries of which are specified in the schedule below is of adequate ecological, fauna, floral, geomorphological natural and zoological significance, for the purpose of protecting propagating and developing Wild Life and its environment hereby declares that the said area shall be a sanctuary on and from the 26th June 2009.
