Notwithstanding anything contained in the Wakf Act, or in any other law for the time being in force, or in any decree or order of any court, tribunal or other authority, the term of office of the members of the Wakf Board including its Chairman holding office as such, immediately before the appointed day, shall expire on the appointed day and such members shall vacate their office on and from the appointed day.
