6.S.R. 452.-In exercise ot the powers conferred by section 40 ot the Tea Act. 1955 (29 of 19(3), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the Ten Rules, 1954, the same having been previously published, tis required by sUb-section (l) of the said section, namely:
1. These rules may be called the Tea (Amendment) Rules, 1961.
2. In rule 12 of the Tea Rules, 1954 (hereinafter called the said rules)
(1) In sub-rule (1)
(a) in clause (a), the word "and" shall be omitted;
(b) in c]ause (b), the word Hand" shall be inserted at the end;
(c) after clause (b), the following clause shall be inserted, namely: "(c) an Export Promotion Committee."
(2) after sub-rule (4), the followlng sub-rule shall be inserted, namely: 1I(4A) The Export Promotion Committee shall consist of:
(i) the Chairman who shall be the ex-officio Chairman thereof; and
(ii) six other members to be elected by the members of the Board from nmong themselves, in such manner as may be laid down by the Board."
3. After rule J3 of the said rules, the following rule shall be inserted, namely: "(13A) Powers of the Export Promotion .Cornrn.ittee.-The Promotion Committee shall exercise aU the executive and financial powers of the Board in respect of matters relating to Tea Promotion subject to the overall control of the Board."
4. In sub-rule (1) ot rule 18 of the said rules, the words "or the Export Pro motion Committe€" ~hall be inserted at the end. 1. These rules maY' be called the Tea (Second Amendment) Rules. 1961.
2. In the- Tea Rules, 19M (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) in clause
(f) of sub-rule (1) of rule 4. for the figures and abbreviation "12 lba", the figure and word "6 kilograms" shall be substituted;

7. In rule 30A of the saId rules,
