Section 25: Trial of offences.

The Telangana (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Act, 1966.State Act of Telangana · Act 16 of 1966

(1) No offence punishable by this Act or any rule or bye-law made thereunder shall be tried by a court inferior to that of a Magistrate of the First Class.

(2) Prosecutions [for the contravention of the provisions of this Act or any rule, bye-law made thereunder] may be instituted by any person duly authorised in writing by the market committee in this behalf.

(3) All fines recovered from any person convicted shall be credited to the Consolidated Fund of the State and a grant equivalent to such fine shall be paid to the market committee.
