The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 2008.State Act of Telangana · Act 8 of 2008

(1) As soon as may be, after the commencement of the Act, the Government may, by notification declare the Hyderabad Metropolitan region consisting of such urban or rural areas as a development area for the purposes of the Act.

(2) The Government may, by notification and in accordance with such rules as may be made in this behalf,-

(a) exclude from a development area any area comprised therein, or

(b) include in development area any other area.

(3) The provisions of sub-sections (3) to (8) of section 13 of the 7Telangana Urban Areas (Development) Act, 1975 shall mutatis mutandis applicable for the purpose of this Act.
