(1) All public streets in the Municipality with the pavements, stones and other materials thereof and all works, materials and other things provided for such streets, including public resources and spaces such as water bodies, etc., other than those managed by Central and State [Act No. 11 of 2019] 197 Government, sewers, drains, drainage works, tunnels and culverts, whether made at the cost of the municipal fund or otherwise, in, alongside or under any street, whether public or private, and all works, materials and things appertaining thereto, shall vest in the Municipality.
(2) Notwithstanding anything in sub-section (1), the Government may, after consultation with the Municipality, shall withdraw any such street, sewer, drain, drainage work, tunnel or culvert from the control of the Municipality and place at the control of any other department of Government, by notification.
