In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,-
(a) ‘Act’ means the 2Telangana Muttah, Jattu, Hamal and other Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Welfare) Act, 1976;
(b) ‘Advisory Committee’ means the Advisory Committee constituted under subsection (1) of Section 14 of the Act:
(0) ‘Board’ means a Board established under sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Act;
(d)The “chairman’ means the Chairman of the Advisory Committee or the Board as the case may be;
(e) “Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Labour;
(f) ‘Form’ means a form appended to these rules;
(9) ’Section’ means a section of the Act;
1. The Andhra Pradesh Mutta, Jattu, Hamals and Other Manual Workers ( Regulation of Employment and Welfare) Rules, 1977. The said Rules in force in the combined state, as on 02.06.2014, has been adapted to the state of Telangana under section 2(f) of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act,2014 (Central Act No. 60f 2014) vide notification issued in G.O.Ms. No. 7 of Labour, Employment, Training and Factories (Labour) Department dated: 01.02.2016.
