Section 4: Appointment of authorised officers.

The Telangana Prohibition of Smoking and Health Protection Act, 2002.State Act of Telangana · Act 14 of 2002

(1) The Government may, by notification, appoint one or more persons as authorised officers who shall be competent to act under this Act.

(2) Every person appointed under sub-section (1) shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
