Every notice issued under the provisions of this Act shall, as far as possible, be served on the person to whom it is addressed or if he is not present, shall be left at his usual or last known place of abode with some adult member of his family, servant or agent or may be sent by a registered letter or be affixed upon a conspicuous part of his usual or last known place of abode. When the notice is so served it shall be deemed to have been duly presented or served.
