It shall be the duty of the agent, during the continuance of management under section 28, to collect the rents and profits due, or accruing due upon the estate, according to the engagements subsisting between the defaulter and the parties holding under him, or according to established, usage where no specific engagements exist. The agent shall keep accounts of all his receipts and disbursements and submit the same, and pay over the balance, to the Collector, or other officer empowered by the Collector in that behalf, monthly, or whenever required, and the defaulter shall be at liberty to inspect the accounts at all reasonable times and to take copies of the same at his own expense without fee.
