[6. Officers to have powers of a civil court in certain matters.-- The officer issuing the summons or a subordinate deputed by such officer under section 5, shall have the same powers as are vested in a Civil Court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, for,-

(a) summoning and enforcing the attendance of any person and examining him on oath; and

(b) requiring the production of any document or other article.]
