Section 3: Constitution of the Commission.

The Telangana State Commission for Debt Relief (Small Farmers, Agricultural Labourers and Rural Artisans) Act, 2016.State Act of Telangana · Act 12 of 2016

(1) The Government shall, as soon as may be after the commencement of this Act, by notification in the Gazette, constitute a Commission by the name, the Telangana State Commission for Debt Relief (Small Farmers, Agricultural Labourers and Rural Artisans), for the purpose of exercising the powers and performing the functions under this Act.

(2) The Commission shall consist of five members, namely:-

[(i) an eminent person having : Chairman]

experience and expertise in the field

of law agriculture/economic sector

(ii) Members not exceeding four, : Members

either from farmers community or

persons of eminence having

experience and expertise in economic/

co-operative/agricultural sector

(3) The Chairman and Members shall be nominated by the Government.

(4) The Government may, appoint a Secretary and other staff as may be necessary, to assist the Commission in such manner as may be prescribed.

(5) The Secretary and other staff of the Commission shall be under to the administrative control of the Chairman.
