Section 26: Special powers of Magistrates.

The Telangana Sugarcane (Regulation of Supply and Purchase) Act, 1961.State Act of Telangana · Act 45 of 1961

Notwithstanding anything in section 32 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Central Act 5 of 1898), it shall be lawful for a Magistrate of the first class specially empowered by the Government in this behalf and trying any offence under this Act or any rule or order made thereunder to pass a sentence of fine not exceeding five thousand rupees on any person convicted for such offence.
