Section 16: Penalty for not vaccinating a child within the age of six months.

If an unprotected child who has attained the age of six months after the commencement of this Act remains unvaccinated, the guardian of the child may be served with a notice in the prescribed form by a vaccinator employed by Government or a local authority and if that notice is not complied with, the guardian of the child concerned shall be punishable with fine which may extend to fifty rupees.
