(1) This Ordinance may be called the Textile Undertakings (Taking Ovef of Management) Ordinance, ]983.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires,—
(a) "appointed day" means the date on which this Ordinance comes into force;
(b) "Custodian" means the person appointed under section 4 to take over the management of the undertakings;
(e) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette;
. (d) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Ordinance;
O) "textile undertaking" or "the textile undertaking" means an undertaking specified in the second column of the First Schedule;
(/) "textile company" means a company (being a company as defined in the Companies Act, 1956) specified in the third column of the First Schedule, as owning the undertaking specified in the corresponding entry in the second column of that Schedule;
(g) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Companies Act, 1956, ^hall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in that Act.
