1. Short titte and commencement:- These rules may be called the coinage of Ten Rupees and Five Rupees coins to commemorate the occasion of "60 years of the Parliament of India, Rules, 2012”. They shall come into fume on the date of their publicationIn the Official Gazette. .N (a) i'he coins of the following denominations shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Centrai Government to commemorate the occasion of “60 YEARS OF THE PARLIAMENT OE MINA", namelyz- '
(i) Ten Rupees; Iii) Five Rupees;
(b) the coins of the above denominations shall conform to the following dimensions, designs and composition, namely:- Denomination Shape and Number of Metal Composition of. the coin outside diameter Serrations
(1) l 2 l (3) (4) Ten Rupees Circular - Outer Ring 27 millimeters (Aluminium Bronze) (Bi-metallic) Copper - 92% Aluminium —6% Nickel - 2% Centre Piece (Cupro Nickel) Copper - 75% Nickel - 25% Five Rupees Circular 100 Nickel Brass 23 millimeters Copper— 75% Zinc- 20% Nickel— 5% [11111 lI—JE'VE 3(i)] WITH W W : WW OBVERSE i The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend ”8W GRIT-T ” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery (with the word "NWT-i" in Devnagri script and on the right periphery flanked with the word "INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "?" and denominational value "10" in international Numerals below the Lion Capitol. i REVERSE The face of thelcoin shall bear Wage of the Parliament House in the centre, with inscription " “MN? m On Go GIN " in Devnagri script on the upper periphery and " 60YEARS OF THE PARLIAMENT OF iNDlA" in English on the lower periphery. The year ”1952 — 2012" shall be inscribed above the image of the Parliament House.
2. FIVE RUPEES OBVE RSE The face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar ih the centre with the legend W GRIT-T " inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word ”3111?” in Devnagri script and on the right periphery flanked with the word "lNDIA" in English. it shall also bear the Rupee symbol "7" and denominationaivalue"5" in International Numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE The face of the coin shall bear the ' age of. the Parliament House in the centre, with inscription ” “Effie—1' an +7572 a: GO " in Devnagri script onthe upper periphery and ” 60 YEARS OF THE PARLIAMENT OF lNDIA" in English on the lower periphery. The year "1952 — 2012" shall be inscribed above the image of the Parliament House.
3. Standard weight and remedy allowed: - The Standard weight of the coins of the following denominations, coined to commemorate the occasion of ”60 years of the Parliament of india", under the provisions of section 4 of the Coinage Act, 2011, (11 of 2011) and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the following Table, namely: - TABLE “-“FV \' .
