Section 1: Short title commencement and application

Tobacco Grading (Commercial) Rules, 1987Central Rules · 1937

(1) These Rules may be called the Tobacco Grading (Commercial) Rules, 1987.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

(3) They shall apply to tobacco (Nicotiana tobacum L. and Nicotiana L.) grown in India and traded in the markets, auction platforms, marketing, cooperatives, ware houses and other similar marketing institutions.
