(1) The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint a Custodian of Deposits and as many Assistant Custodians of Deposits as may be necessary for the purpose of discharging the duties imposed upon the Custodian and Assistant Custodians by or under this Ordinance.
(2) Subject to the provisions of this Ordinance, the Custodian and Assistant Custodians of Deposits shall discharge the duties imposed on them by or under this Ordinance under the general superintendence and control of the Central Government, and the Central Government may, by general or special order, provide for the distribution of work among them.
(3) Subject to the provisions of this Ordinance, the Assistant Custodians of Deposits shall discharge the duties imposed on them by or under this Ordinance under the general superintendence and control of the Custodian.
