'''' 0 T I Fie A T ION In exercise of the power conferred by proviso to article 309 oi the Constitution and in supersession of the existing Recruitment Rules ior the posl mentioned herein, the Governor hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Assistant Headmaster/ Assistant Headmistress, Higher Secondary Schools, Tripura under Education (School) Department namely: -

1. Short title commencement: - a) These rules may be called Assistant Headmaster/ Assistant Headmistress, Higher Secondary Schools Recruitment Rules, 2006. b) They shall come into force with immediate effect

2. The name of the pOst(s) shall be as specified in Column,1.

3. Number, classification and scale of pay. The number of the said post, its classification and the scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in Columns 2 to 4 of the Schedule annexed hereto.

4. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualification etc. { The method of recruitment to the said post, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in Columns 5 to 14 of the said schedule. 5: Disqualification, No person ~ a. Who has entered into! contracted a marriage with a person having spouse living : or b. Who, having a spouse living has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person shall be eligible or appointment to the said post :-

Provided that the State Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of the'se.ruIGS_. 9 Contd. 7. And, ii) 35% (thirty five percent) by direct recruitment. 18 to 40 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years in case of S.C./S.T.I P.H. candidates and Government employees including teachers of the Government aided schools. Provided tnatthe SC/ST/PH/Government Servants shall not get this relaxation over and above the general relaxation of 5 years available to them. a) Educational qualification. i) Master Degree/ Honours Degree in any subject securing at least 45% marks from any recognised University with good acad emic records. A relaxation of 5% marks shall be allowed to the ST/SC candidates. ii) B.T.lB.Ed. from any recognised University! T.Ed. (6 months abridge course certified by Tripura University! eETE from IGNOU (6 months certificate course). b) Experience. i) At least 7(seven) years regular teaching experience in any Government! Government aided High/ Higher Secondary Schools. If adequate number of ST/se candidates with requisite experience is not available, relaxation for a maximum period of 2(two) years in experience criterion shall be allowed to the Si!Se candidates.
