Section 16: Place of suins

The Tripura Employees Insurance Court Rules, 2008State Rules of Tripura · 1948

[n cases not falling under sub-section (l) of Section 76, aproceeding against any person shall be instifuted in the court within the local limit of whose jurisdiction -

(a) the opposite parties or each of the opposite parties where there are more than one, at the time of commencement of the proceedings actually and voluntarily resides, or carries on business. or personally works for gain; or

(b) any of the opposite parties where there are more than one, at the time of the commencement of the proceedin-e.

actually and voluntarily resides, or canies on business, or personally works for gain provided that in such case either the leave of the court is given or the oppositc parties who do not rcsidc or carry on business or personally work for gain, as aforesaid, acquiesce in such institutirln, or

(c) the causc of action,. wholly or irr pnrt, rlrosc.
