(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,�
(a) "Act" means the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 (7 of2014);
(b) "Bye-laws" mean the bye-laws made under section 37 of the Act;
(c) '(Form" n1epns a fo1m a1>pended to these ruJes;
(d) ''Government" means the Govenunent of'fllpura;
(e) < 1Grievance redressal and dispute resolution committee'� means a co1nmittee constituted by the Government under sub-section (1) of section 20 of the Act for the redressal of g1ievances or resolution of disputes;
(f) "local autho1ity" means the local authority as defined under clause (c) of sub-section (I) of section 2 of the Act;
(g) "!v1unicipal Commissioner" means the Jvfunjcipal Cotnmissioner of Agaitala tv1unicipa1 Corporation or Chief Executive Officer of a Municipal Council or Executive Officer of a Nagar Panchayat as the case may be;
(h) "rule11 means rules made under section 36 of the 1\ct;
(i) "scheme" means a scheme framed by the State Government under section 38;
G) "section" means a section of the A.ct;
(2) Words and expressions used herein and not defined, but defined in the Act, shall have the me,1nings respectively assigned to them in the Acl.
