~ .. ~~ • '.y ,/ No.F.3(C-90) SE-E (Conf.)/2019 GOVERNMENT OF TRIPURA EDUCATION (School) DEPARTMENT Dated,..~"?'/ ..~3../2019 NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to Article -309 of the Constitution of India and the Governor of Tripura is hereby pleased to make the following rules regulating the method of recruitment and educational and other qualification required for recruitment to the post of Post Graduate Teacher (For Class XI-XII) under the Education(School) Department, Directorate of Secondary Education, Government ofTripura, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement:-
(a)These rules may be called "Recruitment Rules, 2019" for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (For Class XI-XII) under the Education (School) Department, Directorate of Secondary Education.
(b)They shall cO!TIe into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette.
2. The name of the post (S) shall be as specified in Column-l of the Schedule annexed hereto.
3 Number, Classification and scale of pay: - The number of the said post, its classification and the scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specifiedin Column 2 to 4 of the Schedule annexed hereto.
4. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualification etc.
The method of recruitment to the said post, age limit, qualification and other matters relating to the said POSt shall be as specified in Columns 5 to 13 of the said Schedule.
5. Disqualification: - No person-
(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:-
Provided that the State Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the Personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of these rules.
6. Power of relax: - Where the State Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with the Tripura Public Service Commission, may relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.
7. Repeal and saving: -
(i) The Rules, namely, Post Graduate Teacher (For Class-Xl-XII) under Education(School) Department, DireclOrate of Secondary Education, issued vide Notification No.F.3(C-79)-SE-E (GL)/2016 dated 05- 09-2016 are hereby repealed, provided further that any appointment made or order issued, action taken or anything whatsoever done under the Rules so repealed shall be deemed to have been made, taken or done under the corresponding provisions of these Rules.
(ii) Nothing in these rules shall effect reservation, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Serviceman and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the State Government from time to time in this regard.

8. Interpretation:
If any question arises relating to the interpretation of these Rules, it shall refer to Education (School)Department, Directorate of Secondary Education, Government of Tripura, whose decision thereon.shall be final.

6 Age limit for direct recruitment ...
(a) 100% by direct recruitment through written selection test conducted by a Board /Committee /Commission as may be constituted by the Government of Tripura. There is no provision of oral interview.
(b) Minimum 50% mark is to be obtained in selection test. S% marks will be relaxed in case of SC/ST /PH candidates.
Up to 40 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years in case of SC/ST /PH and Government servant.
Upper age limit is also rel-axable for Ex-serviceman as per norms.

(a) Post Graduate in the relevant/allied subject (equivalence of which to be determined by the equivalence committee) with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) from National Council for teacher Education recognized institution.
OR
(b) Postgraduate in the relevant/allied subject (equivalence of which to be determined by the equivalence committee) with at least 45% marks ( or its equivalent ) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution{in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education( Form of application for recognition, the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start new course or training) Regulation,2002 notified on
13.11.2002 and National Council for Teacher Education(Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations,2007 notified on 10.12.2007} OR
(c) Post Graduate in the relevant/allied subject (equivalence of which to be determined by the equivalence committee) with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized University and B.A .Ed / B.Sc, Ed from any NCTE recognized institution.
