I In exercise of the power conferred by the provision to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tripura is hereby pleased' to make the following Rules for the method of recruitment to the post of Graduate ,Teacher (For·VI-VIII) under the Education (School)Department, Government of Tripura, namely ;-
1. Short title and commencement:-
(a)These Rules may be called "Recruitment Rules, 2019" for.the post of Graduate Teacher (For VI-VIII) under the Education (School) Department.
(b)They shall come in to force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette.
2. The name of the post (s) shall be specified in column-I of the schedule annexed hereto.
3. Number. classification .md scale oC pay: .
The number of the said post, its classification and the scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in Columns 2 to 4 of the schedule annexed hereto.
4. Method or recruitment, age limit, qualification etc :
The method of recruitment to the said post, age limit, qualification and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in colum~s 5 to 13 of the said schedule.
5. Disqualification: - No person.
(a)\vho has entered into or contracted a marriage with ~ person having spouse living:

(b)Who, having a spouse living, has entered [nto or contracted a marriage with any '0- ~ • , person, shall be eligible for appointment to the. said post:-
Provided that the State Government may; if satisfied that such marriage is permissible. .
under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and ! ~ that are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of these Rules.
6. Power or relax:- Where the State Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, may relax any of the provisions of these Rules with respect to any clas~ or category o{ persons.
7. Repeal and saving:- (ilThe Rules, namely, Assistant Teacher, Secondary under Education (School) Department issued, vide Notification No.F.25(1)-E/70(EC) dated 26-01-1971 are hereby repealed, provided further that any appointment made or order issued, action taken or anything whatsoever done under the Rules so repealed shall be deemed to have been made, take or done under the corresponding provisions of these Rules.
(ii) Nothing in these Rules shall effect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other Concessions required to be provided 'for 'the Schedule Castes, the Schedule Tribes. . , Ex-servicemen and other special categ0.9~f persons in accordance with the order issued by the State Government from time to ~ime in this regard.

8. Interpretation:- If any question arises relating to the interpretation of these Rules, it shall refer to Education (School)Department, Government of Tripura, whose decision thercon shall be final ..

(a) Graduation and 2 - years Diploma in Elementary Education,(by whatever name known), OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 - years Bachelor in Education(B. Ed), OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 - years Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulation issued from time to time in this regard, OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 - years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year BA/B. Sc, Ed or BA-Ed/B. Se, Ed.

NB:- *Senior Secondary passed candidates shall get proportionate weightage of 12 marks for academic qualification; .
** Graduate degree holders shall get proportionate weightage of 3 additional marks for their graduation.
